Founded in 1988, General Medical Equipment S.A.L (GME) has proudly served as the exclusive distributor of GE HealthCare’s diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, and healthcare IT solutions in Lebanon. Our story began when General Electric appointed brothers Wassim and Georges Boustany as their trusted representatives in the country—a partnership that laid the foundation for decades of innovation and service in the Lebanese healthcare sector.
Over the years, GME has grown from a provider of GE’s medical imaging systems into a leading force in medical technology distribution. We’ve expanded our portfolio to include advanced therapeutic and diagnostic solutions from EDAP-TMS and Intuitive, bringing robotic surgery and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technologies to local institutions.
Beyond equipment, we work closely with GE HealthCare to deploy cutting-edge imaging IT solutions in hospitals—helping to streamline workflows, enhance radiologist productivity, and improve physician satisfaction, all while minimizing disruption.
To further support nuclear medicine departments, GME has also partnered with Comecer and LemerPax, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all radiopharmacy and radiation protection needs.
