General Medical Equipment S.A.L is the sole distributor of General Electric Healthcare diagnostic imaging, ultrasound and Healthcare IT digital solutions in Lebanon. GME was founded in 1988 when General Electric decided to solely appoint the Boustany brothers, Wassim and Georges to represent GE in Lebanon. Since this day, GME has been a major player in the Lebanese healthcare sector. It first began its focus on the sale and maintenance of GE’s medical imaging equipment range but then grew to be the supplier of EDAP-TMS and Intuitive. GME also cooperates with GE to implement IT imaging solutions in hospitals in order to optimize radiologist productivity and enhance physician satisfaction with minimal downtime and disruption of radiology departments. Finally, GME partnered with Comecer and LemerPax to provide and cover all the needs of the nuclear medicine department.
